In this Specialist role, you will be part of the Specials Management team responsible for ordering Special Buys and managing the allocation of products from the divisional warehouse to our stores. The specialist role uniquely combines managing day-to-day operational business activities with serving as a key user, supporting and advancing supply chain programs and initiatives.

The objective of this role is to manage and administer ALDI Supply Chain programs by economically securing product for the business, which in turn promotes the company’s objectives of maximizing sales and controlling expenses. In addition, the position will assist with the advancement of numerous Supply Chain initiatives in accordance with company guidelines. Join our dynamic Specials Management team as a Specialist, where you will play a key role in driving successful Special Buy promotions from start to finish.

Starting Salary: $77,000
Salary Increases: Year 2 - $80,000 | Year 3 - $85,000 
Current Work Location: Naperville, IL
Future Work Location: Batavia, IL (Anticipated October 2025)
This role is eligible to participate in ALDI’s Hybrid Work Program, which allows remote work up to 3 days per week (i.e., work remotely up to 3 days per week; work in-office at least 2 days per week).

Duties and Responsibilities:
Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Liaises with internal and external parties as required, maintaining positive stakeholder relationships.
Develop and deliver clear and engaging PowerPoint presentations and training materials for internal teams.
• Execute end-to-end planning of specials, ensuring smooth coordination and execution.

• Supports direct leader with the implementation of the Supply Chain Management strategy.
• Assists with testing of new procedures and systems.
Collaborate closely with cross-stream teams to identify opportunities for new process development and system enhancements.
• Communicates effectively and professionally with divisions and external vendors.
• Prioritizes tasks, takes responsibility for results, and uses escalation paths if needed.
Update and create BPMs to ensure documentation is current and accurate.
Utilize strong technical skills in SAP, Excel, and BSP to manage data, monitor processes, and support system functionality.
• Collaborates with team members and communicates relevant information to leadership.
• Complies with ALDI privacy and security requirements and policies if job responsibilities include possible access to confidential and/or sensitive information.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain or a related field required.
• A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in Business required.
• Or, a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
• Prior Specials Management experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Work may be performed in an office, remote office or a combination of both where a computer and office equipment may be used as needed to perform duties.
• Regularly required to sit, reach, grasp, stand and move from one area to another.
• Constantly and repeatedly use keyboard/mouse.
• Occasionally required to push, pull, bend, lift and move up to 25 lbs.

Travel:

• Minimal travel required as needed for job related duties such as training, project work and administrative tasks.
