The Restaurant Senior Manager is a hospitality-minded individual with a personal and professional commitment to excellence and elevated service, and consistent consideration for others.

 

As a member of the Food and Beverage leadership team you are a critical contributor to the success of our business. You exude professionalism and are proactive, anticipatory, and ardently committed to our hospitality service standards.

 

Strong candidates will have expertise in fine dining service, a deep knowledge of food and beverages, and will have excellent leadership skills. The Restaurant Senior Manager must be resourceful, thoughtful, considerate, and organized to best represent our dining space and culinary concepts.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

 

  • Plan, implement, and control restaurant operations.
  • Develop, direct, and coach the restaurant managers. Support the oversight of team members.
  • Provide performance feedback and management.
  • Monitor budgets and financial performance of the department. 
  • Oversee inventory control, ensuring accurate tracking, cost efficiency, and alignment with financial goals.
  • Prepare and distribute department schedule.
  • Supervise payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Uphold and refine operational policies and procedures consistent with standards of The Allison Inn & Spa.
  • Participate in VIP guest relations, marketing initiatives, and brand representation.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation, improvement, and growth.
  • Maintain impeccable cleanliness and organization. 
  • Ensure accurate configuration of the POS and reservation platforms.
  • Performs in the capacity of any position supervised as needed.
  • Follow rules and regulations of The Allison Inn and Spa Food and Beverage Division.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards. 

 

Job Skills/Requirements/Qualifications

  • 5+ years of leadership experience in a luxury hospitality environment.
  • 3+ years of fine dining experience, leadership or management preferred.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategies that drive restaurant growth and long-term success.
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to inspire excellence.
  • Deep knowledge of fine wine, beverage programs, and luxury service standards.
  • Proficiency in budgeting, cost control, and P&L analysis.
  • Ability to understand and apply labor and industry-specific laws and regulations.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to include weekends, evenings and holidays.  Weekends availability is essential for this position.
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment background investigation.

 

Working conditions/Physical Requirements

  • Ability to bend and lift up to 50 pounds of heavy wine, boxes, supplies. 
  • Ability to carry up to 25 pounds across the distance of the various dining areas.
  • Ability to reach with hand and arms, sit, stand, walk, use stairways to climb throughout the property, be in refrigerated areas, and to talk or hear. 
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. 
  • The noise level is moderate.
  • The work environment has frequent temperature swings as the employee moves between guest spaces, outdoors, and refrigerators for example.
