- Office in Sydney
Step into a senior leadership role with true scope and commercial influence.
We’re seeking a Senior Centre Manager to take full operational and commercial ownership of a high-performing, fashion-led retail asset in Western Sydney. Working alongside the General Manager, you’ll be the person who makes the centre run seamlessly every day — creating the conditions for brands to perform and customers to return.
This is not a back-office role. You’ll be out in the centre, leading from the front: walking the floor, setting standards, building relationships with retailers, and making sure the customer experience matches the vision. With multiple expansions underway and a strong mix of national and international fashion brands, it’s an opportunity to shape a destination that stands out in Sydney’s retail landscape.
The Company
Our client is a privately owned, design-led property group with a portfolio spanning retail, commercial, industrial and residential assets.
A cornerstone of this portfolio is a large, fashion-driven retail precinct in Western Sydney, with multiple development stages underway. Already home to a strong concentration of fashion brands, the centre is growing rapidly and is recognised as a high-performing destination.
The team is engaged and capable, but the scale and complexity of the centre are increasing. To ensure delivery keeps pace with ambition, the business is creating a dedicated leadership role focused on centre operations, brand engagement and customer experience.
The Opportunity
As Senior Centre Manager, you’ll be the on-site leader with end-to-end accountability for how the centre performs day to day.
You’ll orchestrate every element that makes a retail precinct thrive — from safety, facilities and compliance to marketing activations, presentation standards and customer service. You’ll oversee the operating budget, track retailer performance, and keep the centre running as a cohesive, high-performing unit.
Your connection to the retailers will be pivotal. You’ll understand what drives fashion brands, speak their language, and work with them to create environments where they can succeed. You’ll ensure the centre is always ready for peak trading, with merchandising, service and presentation all on point.
What You’ll Lead
Daily performance: set the operating rhythm, maintain presentation standards, and ensure seamless service across operations, security, cleaning, car park and facilities.
Retailer engagement: build strong relationships with fashion and lifestyle brands, monitor performance and turnover, and support leasing with mix and renewal decisions.
Service partners: lead and hold contractors accountable — from cleaning and safety through to maintenance and customer services.
Commercial discipline: prepare and manage budgets, forecasts and reports; balance financial rigour with on-the-ground decision-making.
Customer experience: drive initiatives that keep customers engaged and returning, from visual merchandising to activations and events.
Growth readiness: contribute operational insight to upcoming development stages, ensuring today’s excellence scales into tomorrow’s expansion.
This role is ideal for you if you…
Currently run a complex retail asset and want to step into a senior leadership role with full accountability.
Thrive on being visible and hands-on in the centre — leading teams, engaging with tenants and setting standards.
Have deep experience with fashion retail, understand how brands think, and know how to create an environment where they succeed.
Want your work to directly influence how a high-performing precinct grows and evolves.
This role may not suit you if you…
Prefer corporate layers, rigid processes or a detached role away from the centre floor.
Are looking for purely strategic oversight without operational involvement.
About You
10+ years’ experience in retail property management, including exposure to large or complex fashion-driven centres.
A track record of delivering operational excellence, commercial results and strong tenant relationships.
Financial and commercial acumen, including budget management and site-level P&L oversight.
Confidence leading cross-functional teams and contractors, with a sharp eye for detail and presentation.
Comfortable working directly with ownership, balancing daily decision-making with longer-term planning.
What’s on Offer
Competitive executive package with performance-based bonus.
Transparent, non-political culture with direct access to decision-makers.
The chance to take the reins of one of Sydney’s most exciting and evolving fashion-focused retail centres.
If you’re ready to bring structure, energy and vision to a centre with genuine momentum, we’d love to hear from you.
