At AustralianSuper, we truly care about our colleagues. We know work and life are intertwined. That’s why we support the diverse needs of everyone and have policies that enable us all to thrive and be truly flexible. We ensure diversity is celebrated for the opportunity it provides us all to learn and grow and deliver better outcomes for members.

Your New Role

As an Operations Specialist in Member Operations, you’ll play a key role in supporting the consistent delivery of our products and services for members and employers. You’ll collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, provide expert operational guidance, and act as a subject matter expert on projects. You’ll manage complex queries, support changes to products and services, and identify risks and gaps within our service model.

We’re looking for someone who is a real ‘Doer’ — a champion of getting things done, who puts members first, understands business rules, and when and how these change.    You are an excellent collaborator, who loves keeping stakeholders informed and on the right track; you back your judgement and are not afraid to make a decision when acting as an Operations SME on projects.  You thrive in small, collaborative teams, whilst still enjoying working independently, solving problems and utilising your awareness of risk to fully assess the impact of decisions.

This is a permanent position, offering a hybrid work pattern with two days a week in the office and flexibility to deliver the role in a way that suits your lifestyle best.

What You’ll Need

  • Prior experience in a similar Operations Specialist role within the superannuation industry, or as a superannuation administrator with deep knowledge of superannuation products and legislation.
  • Strong, demonstrable experience in administration and operations, with a good level of expertise, specifically gained within the superannuation industry.
  • Sound understanding of risk acceptance and risk management,
  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Superannuation, Finance, or Accounting.
  • Professional certification in business analysis, administration, business management, or superannuation.
  • Effective and succinct communication skills.
  • Ability to comprehend and translate technical and complex documents and policies.
  • Excellent collaboration skills, with the confidence to work autonomously and make informed decisions.
  • Commitment to keeping stakeholders informed and on track.

The AustralianSuper Story

As a profit-to-member superannuation fund, AustralianSuper is run only for members, and is here to help members achieve their best possible retirement outcome. We don't pay profits or dividends to shareholders, so the money we make goes back into the fund.

We’re an organisation of talented, inspiring colleagues and passionate leaders. As we continue to grow in size and complexity, we need people who will challenge our thinking, deliver outstanding outcomes and most importantly, share in our purpose.
