POSITION SUMMARY:

The Manager – Pre-Employment and Onboarding is responsible for providing oversight for pre-employment and onboarding processes. The incumbent also ensures the implementation of policies, procedures, tools, and standards that drive effective records management. The
Manager- Pre-Employment and Onboarding facilitates the administrative hiring process. This position reports to Director – Human Resources.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develops, implements, and monitors pre-employment and onboarding processes to include the development and maintenance of job descriptions. Works continuously to enhance the employee onboarding experience.

 

Reviews processes and procedures to ensure efficient operations. Develops processes needed for continuous improvement. Supports operational processes. Provides data, completes analysis, and generates reports in order to inform decision-making and continuous improvement processes.

 

Ensures the implementation of policies, procedures, tools, and standards that drive effective records management covering various phases of the employment cycle.

 

Facilitates the administrative hiring process.

 

Partners with other District departments on matters related to areas of responsibility.

 

All other duties, as assigned and required, in order to perform the above
responsibilities.

 

KEY JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management, Education or a related field required.

 

Minimum of five (5) years progressive management experience in a K-12 school setting or large organization required.

 

Prior experience coordinating within organizational departments; makes decisions and recommendations that often affect the activities of others.

 

Moderate level of judgment required: supervisor is available on limited time basis; individual required to establish and evaluate departmental objectives.

 

Requires regular, frequent contact with internal and external personnel of influence and decision-making responsibility to discuss issues of moderate importance; requires continuing contact with officials at higher levels. Excellent interpersonal skills are required for working with inter-organizational teams.

 

Requires excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills.

 

Applies, recommends and implements technology concepts (internal and external) to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of District.

 

Normal office setting.

 

May require travel to off-site locations for training and school site visits.

 

Light duty - On most occasions sitting at a desk or table; intermittently sitting, standing, or
stooping.  Light lifting or carrying 20 lbs. or less.

  

NOTE: This is a grade 27, 225 day position that pays for experience up to a Step 8.
