Hiring Range: $52,850 - $68,753.

NATURE OF POSITION

This professional position performs a variety of marketing and communications administrative assignments that require comprehensive knowledge of organizational activities, customer experience and marketing methods, and business office processes. 


Position Duties

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support Management in carrying out brand and marketing initiatives as well as community events to improve customer experience and promote Ben Franklin Transit. 
  • Help prepare promotional content in collaboration with the marketing team, in English and/or Spanish. 
  • Assist with planning internal employee engagement activities, events, and internal communications. 
  • May be assigned to assist with other translation and communication activities for the Agency as assigned. 
  • Coordinate the department’s document control system, including filing, distribution, and within compliance of state and federal regulations.
  • Be responsible for maintaining and updating content for the department on the agency intranet.
  • Provide consistent updates to Senior Manager of Customer Experience on matters requiring immediate attention and response; monitor signature items for timeliness and accuracy.
  • Prepare requisitions for purchase orders, order supplies, and prepare expense and credit card reports for the Marketing and Communications department; ensure accuracy of all information including budget codes.
  • Other duties as assigned.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Excellent proofing, spelling, grammar, and punctuation to complete assignments in English and/or Spanish. 
  • Strong ability to multi-task and prioritize competing deadlines.
  • Teamwork, collaboration, and punctuality.

Minimum Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Associate’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or related field from an accredited institution is desired (Bachelor’s a plus) and two-years of progressively responsible marketing, communications or related experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and relevant marketing experience. 

 

Required: Must speak and write fluently in English and Spanish.

 

Required: Must have a high level of proficiency in email, MS Office, other web-based programs. Must have some experience using specialized software and equipment, digital records and video libraries, related to the functional area.

 

Experience in managing public-facing social media sites, graphic design concepts, and content creation a plus. 


LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, & OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Must possess a valid driver’s license.
