Position Summary
Alkermes is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support key projects and programs for our Wilmington, Ohio facility where we manufacture our medications including VIVITROL®, ARISTADA®, LYBALVI® as well as support our development pipeline. This person will support management of the overall site project portfolio and reporting for the key projects in line with Alkermes Corporate Strategy. This position within the Project Management Office (PMO) will work closely with chemistry, manufacturing and controls (CMC) teams, as well as Operations and R&D leadership to ensure project delivery and success.
Key Responsibilities
Oversight of programs, including development and implementation of strategy, and overall delivery to budgets, timelines, and development plans which as the PM you will facilitate development of with the CMC Team, and functional area management.
Support the team throughout project/program execution, including ensuring proactive risk management and facilitating strong cross-functional coordination, issue resolution and decision-making. Track and report team activities to plan and overall timeline milestones.
Provide leadership, guidance, and project management support to team representatives and key stakeholders.
Ensure clear and open communication and fostering proactive cross-functional integration and decision making across all areas and sites
Support the creation and maintenance and prioritization of the PMO project portfolio
Lead project team to establish and meet key project milestones.
We’re looking for an individual who values the team dynamic, is a strong collaborator, is organizationally savvy, excels in a matrixed management/leadership environment, and enjoys working on the details without losing sight of the larger organizational goals.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:
BS/MS in a scientific or engineering discipline, with 6+ years of relevant pharmaceutical experience
PMP certified or equivalent a plus
Prior experience managing complex cross functional teams with timeline-management and budgetary responsibility
- Prior experience in product scale-up and commercialization of drug products
Expert knowledge of MS Project, MS Excel; knowledge of Planview and SmartSheet would be beneficial
Exceptional verbal/written communication, time/resource management, attention to detail, interpersonal and organization skills
Travel
Travel domestic and international – up to 25%
