The Executive Risks Interns will work with underwriters using both quantitative and qualitative analytical skills to understand and assess risk profiles and determine appropriate price, terms and conditions of a policy. Other job function expectations include ensuring appropriate file documentation and compliance; assisting direct manager with various departmental projects as necessary.
Responsibilities
Participate in a 11-week intensive internship in the management liability underwriting space. The Intern will rotate in the following areas:
Financial Institutions Underwriting
Manager: Bolaji Azeez, AVP Executive Risks
Description: F.I. Underwriting focusing on E&O/D&O coverage
Public Commercial Underwriting
Manager: Ryan McKee, AVP Executive Risks
Description: Directors and Officers Insurance for public companies including EPL and Fiduciary Lines
- Assist group in performing tasks designed to gain an understanding of the Executive Risks marketplace
- Analyze financial statements, assess various risk exposures, and produce underwriting reports
- Work with underwriting staff to analyze and improve broker relationships
- Analyze notable trends and macro factors to help determine optimal portfolio breakdown
- Research and present a final project to Executive Risk Commercial & Financial Institutions staff
Qualifications
- Pursuing bachelor’s degree, preferably an incoming Junior
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong financial analysis skills
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel

Pay Range: $25.50 - 27.50 hourly rate. Actual salaries may vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, role and performance. The range listed is just one component of SCOR's total compensation package for employees.
