Your Impact
- Effectively communicates with customers and all levels of City staff including responding to internal and external customer service requests.
- Prepare work orders, inspection forms, and risk management assessments.
- Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and installation for parks and/or buildings and facilities including painting.

Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent with vocational/technical training in a specialty, such as HVAC, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, or building maintenance.
- Three years building construction/maintenance experience, or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid driver's license.

- Diagnose paint failures and underlying issues such as moisture intrusion; recommend long-term solutions. Apply specialty coatings for graffiti resistance and water protection, ensuring compliance with Volatile Organic Compounds, ADA, and fire safety standards. Coordinate schedules with departments, trains new staff, create work orders, and tracks tasks in the work order system. Provide informal oversight on team projects and safely uses ladders, scaffolding, and boom trucks.
- May perform skilled painting tasks. Lead full-cycle painting projects, from assessment and surface prep to application and cleanup. Prepare surfaces by sanding, patching, caulking, and priming; apply coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment, including airless and High-Volume Low-Pressure (HVLP) systems. Select appropriate materials for various surfaces and environmental conditions and maintain a paint book to ensure color consistency across City facilities.
- Three years of commercial painting experience.
- Skilled in applying texture using HVLP and airless sprayers, with experience selecting and applying the proper materials across a variety of surfaces.
