Position Summary:
The External Outreach Coordinator is responsible for coordinating external outreach tabling events with a focus on the Eastern and Northeastern regions of Pennsylvania. The External Outreach Coordinator will provide support to the Outreach department’s efforts to recruit prospective families and support the ambassador program. The External Outreach Coordinator will be responsible for the successful completion of the following tasks:
  • Assist with scheduling, staffing, implementation, and follow-up of External Outreach tabling events in the Eastern and Northeastern Pennsylvania regions.
  • Attend tabling events and procure leads from prospective families.
  • Assist with hosting weekly Virtual Information Sessions
  • Maintain accurate inventory of supplies for Eastern Pennsylvania storage units.
  • Develop new external outreach grassroots efforts for the school.
  • Assist with the Reach Parent Ambassador Program
  • Provide regional updates on competitor happenings and current school issues in the Eastern and Northeastern Pennsylvania regions.
Education/Qualifications
  • Minimum Education/Certification:
    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in marketing, advertising, communications, or a related field preferred.
    • Possesses all PDE required clearances for school-based personnel.
  • Experience Requirements:
    • Three (3) years of event planning preferred.
    • Three (3) years of experience working in nonprofit organizations preferred.
    • Public K-12 educational school district experience preferred.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
  • Ability to be self-paced and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests, and manage laterally and upwards.
  • Creative and analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Preferred copy-editing or graphic design knowledge
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school officials, parents, students, teachers, and support staff.
  • Ability to connect with a diverse group of people and build strong relationships.
  • Ability to travel to and from assigned work locations without employer support.
Essential Functions / Duties / Responsibilities:
  • Must reside in Eastern Pennsylvania.
  • Ability to pass the background checks required for all school employees in Pennsylvania.
  • This position will include significant travel to cover the Eastern and Northeastern regions of Pennsylvania to include Allentown, Reading, Philadelphia, and Wilkes Barre -Scranton with limited overnight travel.  Employer covers travel costs
  • Must be able to work at least two weekends per month.
  • Must be able to carry and lift up to sixty (60) pounds.
