Cashier - Mom & Pop's at Palmetto Propane

Scope:

Mom & Pops is a well-established quick-service grill and convenience store. A longtime local favorite, the store is known for its made-to-order meals, friendly service, and consistent quality. As part of the Palmetto Propane family, Mom & Pops upholds a strong commitment to community, reliability, and customer care.

We’re seeking a reliable and customer-focused Cashier to support daily store operations, ensure accurate transactions, and contribute to a positive, team-oriented atmosphere.

Duties and Responsibilities Include but Not Limited To:

• Receive payments by cash, credit, check, voucher, or electronic transfer.
• Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change to customers as needed.
• Accurately count cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts.
• Greet customers promptly and courteously upon entry.
• Answer customer questions and provide helpful, friendly service.
• Bag merchandise efficiently and with care.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked checkout area.
• Compute and record transaction totals accurately.
• Reconcile payments received with sales totals at end of shift.
• Uphold a motivated, team-oriented, and customer-focused work environment.
• Perform all other duties assigned.

Requirements:

• MUST BE 21+ TO APPLY
• Weekend Availability (required)
• Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Prior cashier or customer service experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform basic math quickly and accurately.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Positive, energetic, and professional attitude.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Availability to work 20-40 hours per week.
