• Maintenance and reconditioning of student athletes, including, bandaging, wrapping, taping, padding and splinting procedures to prevent and manage athletic injuries
• Assisting the athletic staff in the application of protective equipment, including bandaging and strapping
• Monitoring all student athletes for the use of special equipment and devices as prescribed by the school physician and/or private physician
• Assisting coaches in the proper fitting of athletic equipment for maximum safety
• Being in attendance for athletic events based on priority of potential problems
• Provide first-aid/CPR, as needed during practices and games, when the school physician is not in attendance
• Evaluate the extent of athletic injuries and refer the injured athlete to his/her private physician for diagnosis and treatment, as needed
• Apprise the school nurse of an injured student referred to a private physician and/or emergency room
• Maintain a continued communication with the school nurse and Director of Athletics and Student Activities regarding the injuries and/or illnesses of student athletes
• Maintain daily contact with coaches regarding update injuries and illnesses of student athletes
• Other duties and responsibilities as required and assigned
