An overview of this position entails… This position is responsible for providing education to enhance community awareness and understanding of CYDC programing, program development, fiscal management and nurture collaborative relationships within the community. These tasks will include support and involvement in operational and personnel tasks including but not limited to: intensive supervision and/or coordination community services to high risk youth in the juvenile system, supervision of staff, development of the annual plan and budget (in accordance to the Juvenile Services Planning Committee (JSPC) guidelines), management of the budget and services. Additionally, the CYDC Coordinator shall guide agenda items and actively participate in JSPC and facilitate regular meetings of the CYDC subcommittee. Attend and participate in CYDC state Coordinator meetings, community meetings, and provide oversight of data entered into the statewide database. All duties and involvement shall be completed with intent to coordinate services at the right time for the juvenile and their families in order to prevent juveniles from entering into detention or being committed to the Division of Youth Services. This position requires frequent night, weekend, and holiday on call availability.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Coordinates activities of the CYDC in respective judicial districts.
2. Facilitates CYDC subcommittee meetings, at minimum quarterly, and reports CYDC accomplishments, trends and needs to the executive committee and JSPC.
3. Nurture collaborative relationships throughout the youth servicing community in respective judicial districts by actively participating in community services coordination efforts to include: ISST, Collaborative Management Program, juvenile justice domain meetings, and Crossover Youth to promote our mission and enhance community understanding of CYDC programming to increase awareness of the program and utilization of its services.
4. In conjunction with Hilltops accounting department: Maintain fiscal integrity for both CYDC and Marijuana Tax Revenue (MTR) funds by determining the appropriateness of funding requests for service, ensuring adequate account coding, monitoring vendor documentation, and actively monitoring budget compliance.
5. Direct client service to include: case management, tracking, assessment, supervision, family contact, safety planning, court attendance and all tasks associated with initial screening and the institution of and/or revocation of bonds.
6. Staff supervision to oversee day-to-day program tasks associated with the delivery of service, including compliance with all state required TRAILS and Savio data entry functions, bed management with Grand Mesa Youth Services Center (GMYSC), emergency release, client supervision, compliance with court mandates, report and assessment timelines, and accuracy. Responsible for CYDC employees for all performance evaluations, timesheet approval, disciplinary and recognition actions, and all new hire and training functions.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in a human services related field and two years of related experience in assessment, report writing, familiarity with CYDC and judicial proceedings, financial management, group facilitation, supervision, knowledge of the juvenile Criminal Justice system, and the Children’s Code; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
