The Centra Medical Group (CMG) Practice Administrator independently oversees and provides on-site administrative operational oversight to a complex practice (with ten or more providers) and/or multiple medical practice sites. This position provides comprehensive support to the practices through a triad model at both individual practice level and the regional level. The triad model includes the Operational Leader, Nurse Clinical Coordinator, and Lead Physician. The CMG Practice Administrator position provides operational management to all staff at the assigned practice(s), is responsible for accounts payable/accounts receivable, revenue enhancement, marketing, staff development and training, team engagement, performance improvement, and overall business operations. This position acts as a role model and drives Centra's mission, vision, values, and standards of behavior.
Responsibilities
Oversees medical practice management, including invoice coding, monitoring and analyzing monthly reports.
Researches and develops services/programs/business plans to meet community healthcare needs.
Directs daily operations: scheduling staff, assigning work, training, employee performance, and ensuring staff adhere to policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Identifies gaps, develops, and implement plans for continuous quality improvement, review and reassessment.
Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to meet CMG business goals, optimizes CMG strategic goals, drives team engagement, and exceeds patient experience goals.
Manages physician and advance practice provider schedules.
Serves as a liaison between the practice(s), physicians, advanced practice providers, and the Centra Medical Group to find resolutions and improve performance.
Utilizes financial, quality, market, and research data to respond to business and patient needs.
Audits and directs data entry.
Collaborates with Nursing Clinical Coordinator and Lead Physician to identify, develop and deliver training, policy and procedures, conduct quality improvement, ensure regulatory requirements are met, and the practice exceeds business goals.
Identifies and reviews staffing plans, identifying salary and non-salary expenses, justifying variances, and action planning to increase revenue and/or capture new markets.
Conducts financials for the practice by reviewing accounts payable and accounts receivable, managing collections, processing invoices, and collaborating with CMG Physician Revenue Cycle.
Tracks and assists the practice with review of and plans to meet Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) measures, American Nurses Credentialing Center Magnet Program standards, The Joint Commission standards, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and other regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
Required Education: High School diploma or equivalent
Preferred Certifications and Licensures: CMPE (Certified Medical Practice Executive) certification upon hire or obtained after hire
