FoodScience is hiring a Strategic Account Manager-Chewy
In this role, you will own the end-to-end business for our Chewy account, driving revenue, margin, and share growth while upholding brand equity. You’ll align strategies, tactics, budgets, and execution across marketing, operations, creative, finance, and sales; lead annual/quarterly planning and day-to-day management of promotions, content and ads, search performance, inventory, logistics, and consumer experience; and steward accrual funds and spend to surpass plan. You’ll evaluate the competitive landscape and translate insights into marketplace strategies that expand our footprint and outperform the category.
You’ll spearhead flawless execution by coordinating closely with Supply Chain on customer programs and operational changes, partnering with Brand and Creative (and agency partners) to deliver best-in-class product pages, campaigns, and on-site activations, and acting as the ecommerce subject-matter expert who advocates for the channel and unlocks growth across all brands. You’ll run test-and-learn roadmaps (including A/B experiments), implement process enhancements that streamline ecommerce operations, and keep meticulous documentation and forecasts in Salesforce—reporting progress against KPIs with clear drivers and actions.
Above all, you’ll lead through influence across cross-functional teams and external partners—setting expectations, holding stakeholders accountable, and fostering an agile, collaborative culture that iterates quickly on market feedback. Your success will be measured by achieving top-line revenue targets, meeting margin goals, strategic use of accrual funds, and sustained market share gains.
To be successful in this role, you must have the following skills:
- Drive alignment on strategies, tactics, budgets, and execution across the marketing, operations, creative, finance, and sales teams
- Spearhead the management of activities and expenditures across designated customers and platforms, aiming to surpass budgetary objectives.
- Secure substantial growth in revenue beyond category standards within the assigned territory.
- Lead the development and implementation of brand-specific marketplace selling strategies in collaboration with brand and creative teams, alongside third-party agencies.
- Evaluate the competitive landscape and devise strategies to maximize business expansion.
- Act as an ecommerce subject matter expert, advocating for the channel while leveraging its potential to enhance business across all channels.
- Actively collaborate with other leaders to refine existing strategies based on evolving market insights and data.
- Ensure flawless execution and effective communication with Supply Chain regarding customer promotions, customized programs, and operational adjustments that may impact the business.
- Continuously identify, propose and implement process enhancements to optimize ecommerce operations.
- Uphold brand equity and integrity while meeting business expectations.
- Keep meticulous and accurate records in SalesForce and other platforms, maintaining best-in-class notes and documentation.
- Report updates and progress against KPI’s, including providing market forecasts and key drivers.

Technical Expertise Required
- Experience utilizing the key metrics and measurements of success from various eCommerce platforms, and leverage for business success.
- Proficient understanding of the Business to Consumer (B2C) model, comprehending consumer engagement and purchasing behavior.
- Familiarity with the basics of Digital Platforms encompassing SEO, SEM
- Knowledgeable about P&L and proficient in utilizing various tools and metrics crucial for planning, executing, and measuring outcomes.
- Proficiency with MS Office applications.
PERFORMANCE METRICS:
- Achieve top-line revenue targets for the branded animal business within the budget.
- Ensure annual compliance with set margin expectations.
- Strategically utilize accrual funds to foster growth.
- Promote growth and market share expansion within designated territories.
