Kreston Reeves Private Client LLP is an established and highly successful legal team covering Sussex, Kent and London, specialising in Private Client work. We are looking for a Senior Private Client Solicitor to join our team in Sussex based in our Horsham office where you will be part of a forward thinking, dynamic and progressive firm which offers plenty of opportunity for career development.  

The Horsham team is the hub of the Legal Services division and is well established with a highly reputable offering to a varied client base including high net worth individuals, business owners and farming families.  

This role as a Senior Private Client Solicitor provides an excellent opportunity to work with a team of experienced private client solicitors and tax advisors specialising in Wills, Estate Planning, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Trusts, Probate and Estate Administration.  

About the role

Key Responsibilities
  • The ability to manage your own caseload working autonomously and as part of a team  
  • Good communication skills to enable you to successfully build longstanding working relationships with colleagues and clients 
  • Attention to detail  
  • Experience in drafting Wills, Trusts (and related documentation), Powers of Attorney and advising on estate planning and inheritance tax matters 
  • Able to manage a variety of Probate and Estate Administration cases through to completion 
  • Commercially aware with experience of networking and business development  
  • People management skills and an ability to mentor junior colleagues 
  • Good financial management  

What we're looking for

  • Qualified Solicitor or CILEX qualified Legal Executive with not less than 5 years’ PQE
  • STEP qualification or part qualification is desirable but not essential 
  • Willing to travel to London and Kent when required
