Delivery & Logistics Specialist at Duncan-Parnell

Duncan-Parnell is a family owned and operated company who is at the forefront of the surveying & construction industries throughout the Southeast. We are growing and are looking to add a Delivery & Logistics Specialist to our Charlotte, NC region.

SUMMARY: 

The Delivery & Logistics Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely delivery of products to customers, while also supporting internal operations such as order entry, billing, warehouse support, showroom stocking, and inter-branch transfers. This position requires strong attention to detail, customer service skills, and the ability to perform physically demanding work. The position operates within a normal M-F schedule.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Input sales orders into ERP system; process order billing
• Pick, pull, and prepare inventory for customer orders, ensuring order accuracy
• Load/unload delivery van
• Safely deliver products to customers’ offices and jobsites
• Organize and stack delivered products in customer warehouses when required
• Professionally interact with customers in a sales support capacity
• Transfer products between company branches as needed
• Proactively manage delivery schedule to maximize efficiency
• Assist in maintaining retail showroom stock levels and organization
• Participate in warehouse operations including inventory counts, restocking, and general upkeep

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Personable & energetic team player
• Ability to apply critical thinking to plan efficient delivery schedules and adapt to changing priorities
• Strong organizational & communication skills
• Basic computer skills – Word, Excel, email. ERP system experience a plus.
• Ability to act professionally as a customer-facing representative of Duncan-Parnell
• Ability to work independently and completely execute assignments in a timely manner
• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
• Conduct business with an outgoing, customer-friendly demeanor
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• Satisfactory DMV record (must be accepted by DP’s liability insurance carrier).
