Description

Responsible for developing, optimizing, and scaling up manufacturing processes in collaboration with the R&D and Engineering teams. This role bridges the gap between research and full-scale production, ensuring that new products are manufactured efficiently, safely, and at the highest quality. Work closely with the Engineering Director to translate experimental findings into practical, scalable processes for commercial production. Collaborate with R&D and Engineering teams to design and develop new manufacturing processes for products in development. Translate lab-scale processes into pilot and full-scale production processes, ensuring feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and quality. Develop and refine process parameters, including temperature, pressure, flow rates, and material handling procedures. Design and implement CNC machining processes, including tool selection, programming, and setup optimization. Lead the scale-up of new processes from R&D to production, including process optimization, troubleshooting, and validation. Conduct trials and experiments to ensure processes can be scaled up efficiently without compromising quality or safety. Develop and execute process validation protocols to ensure consistent product quality during scale-up. Work closely with the cross-functional teams, including Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, and Regulatory Affairs, to ensure seamless transition from development to production. Provide technical support during product launches and production runs, addressing any process-related issues that arise. Support the transfer of new processes to manufacturing sites, including training production teams and developing detailed process documentation. Identify opportunities for process improvements and innovations to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality. Implement continuous improvement initiatives within the R&D and manufacturing environments, using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Design of Experiments (DOE). Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in process engineering and apply this knowledge to current projects. Ensure all processes comply with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards. Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures to minimize hazards during process development and scale-up. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements throughout the process development and scale-up phases. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all processes, including SOPs, process flow diagrams, and technical reports. Prepare and present reports on process development progress, scale-up activities, and results to the R&D Director and other stakeholders. Contribute to patent applications or technical publications as needed.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field plus 3 years of experience as a Process engineer, mechanical engineer or related role/occupation. Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with: 1)R&D, process development and scale-up; 2) Processing simulation software, statistical analysis and DOE; 3) Conducting risk assessments and implement safety measures to minimize hazards during process development and scaleup; 4) Leading the scale-up of new processes from R&D to production, including process optimization, troubleshooting, and validation; 5) Design and implement CNC machining processes, including tool selection, programming, and setup optimization.
