About the Role
This is a strategic, high-impact role, focused on building strategic relationships, expanding our integrated offerings and value propositions, and driving revenue growth through joint go-to-market with partners. You should be knowledgeable about the financial services industry, especially in regard to business-to-business embedded finance (the network of companies who serve small businesses). Working experience establishing partnerships that enable data-driven customer experience orchestration and delivery in and across cloud environments and digital walled gardens. You will collaborate closely cross-functionally across all departments to ensure strategic alignment and coordinate execution
- Create new business relationships with potential strategic partners/clients: develops and communicates plans for mutually beneficial business opportunities, and motivates potential partners to sign strategic partnership agreements.
- Develop close relationships with key stakeholders in the partner organization and maintain account plans for expanding revenue with each partner.
- Track and report on metrics/goals, identify improvement opportunities, and drive alignment.
- Manage our key alliance relationships, partnership planning, goal setting, and operational execution.
- Define joint value propositions, sources of differentiation, messaging, positioning, and in some cases, packaging and pricing with ecosystem partners
- Define and implement a strategic rollout plan from signed contract through integration and ongoing education involving all stakeholders.
- Develop go-to-market playbooks that serve each partner's vertical so we can scale successful programs across partners.
- Provide thought leadership, strategic insight, and clear communication to team and the company on various partnership initiatives.
Requirements
- 15+ years of relevant professional experience
- Track record of high performance in prior roles
- Advanced working knowledge of small business finance, with demonstrated understanding of how to apply AI and machine learning into new business contexts
- Effective manager with experience owning a business function, primarily in the Fintech vertical
- Excellent relationship management and business development skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use data analysis to inform business opportunities
- Impact-focused, energetic, highly motivated person with a strategic perspective on how to create value
- Comfortable in an entrepreneurial environment, with its fast pace and fluid nature, comfortable delivering results with a small, lean team
- GM mindset with a holistic view on the partnership portfolio
- Highly collaborative, both externally developing strong relationships with partners and teaming up well internally (e.g., PM, Eng, Sales, Marketing)
- Proven success in developing and delivering on strategic plans with leading tech companies (Top 10 Global ISV) as well as mid-sized SaaS vendors for significant business impact.
- Experience in negotiating term sheets
- Knowledge of data signals bringing AI and machine learning into new datasets, is a plus
- Experience working at a startup, building key partnerships during scaling.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including at the C-level
