Role description:
Arcadis is seeking a Senior Project Controls Manager to provide day-to-day management of the Project Management Office (PMO) for the Fraser River Tunnel Project, ensuring the achievement of project time, cost, and quality objectives. The Senior Project Controls Manager will have overall responsibility for the management of project management and operational functions within the team, enabling the successful delivery of this major infrastructure project on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role will be instrumental in implementing robust project controls and processes, supporting effective planning, monitoring, and reporting across all phases of delivery for the Fraser River Tunnel Project.
Role accountabilities:
In this role you will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the project management and operational functions for the team, ensuring the delivery of the project on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. You will administer the Design Services Agreement (DSA) on behalf of the Consultant, coordinating the receipt and management of formal correspondence with the Design Builder and the Province. Your responsibilities will also include developing management systems for the Consultant in collaboration with the Design Builder and the Province, as well as reviewing and updating these systems as needed.
In this position, you will be involved in the review of payment claims and related commercial and contractual documentation in close coordination with the Commercial Manager. You will manage core project control processes, including time, cost, quality, and risk, and maintain key project registers covering risk, value, and change management in partnership with the Commercial and Risk Manager and relevant counterparts. Additionally, you will oversee resource allocation, lead the rollout of change management initiatives, and approve subcontracts and subcontractor payments in consultation with the Commercial Manager. Ensuring your team’s strict adherence to management plans and compliance with requirements in the DEWA, DBA, and DSA will be critical to meeting project objectives and sustaining high standards of project delivery.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Executive level experience in all aspects of major infrastructure project team management and administration, including client liaison
- Major project commercial management experience
- Major stakeholder management experience
- Experience managing project planning for design and construction in a Design & Construct (D&C) environment on major projects
