SUMMARY OF JOB:

The Director, IT Infrastructure plans, directs, and coordinates the design, installation, and connectivity of computer, telephone, and network systems to ensure the stable operation of Redeemer Health’s IT assets. Responsibilities include developing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all new and existing network hardware, software, and communication links.  The IT Infrastructure Director also will schedule and direct the activities of the technical team to enhance the environment and resolve issues in a timely and accurate fashion. 

 

In cooperation with the Chief Information Officer, the Director will lead the technical services and telecommunication teams in the design, development, testing, enhancement, documentation and ongoing support of server, storage, network, desktop, platform engineering, audio visual, and telecommunication technologies to support business and patient care processes. Evaluates, selects, and implements new technologies and development tools for technology development.  Promotes technical standards for development, testing, documentation, participates in the evaluation and selection of vendor systems, facilitates continuous quality improvement efforts, and serves as an expert technical resource for IT projects and teams throughout the enterprise.

 

The Director, IT Infrastructure supports and performs feasibility, analytical, and cost/benefit studies of areas of responsibility.  Ensures the implementation, daily operations, and security of all computer systems and infrastructure contained within the responsibility.  Performs duties in support of the Health System’s mission to ensure the highest quality of patient care in an economically sound and efficient manner.

RECRUITMENT REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience managing and configuring enterprise-wide LANs, WANs, WLANs, VPNs
  • Minimum 3 years in a management position
  • Experience in a healthcare facility preferred but not necessary based on experience
  • Exceptional technical knowledge of network and PC operating systems, including Microsoft Windows, Microsoft patching and remote access.
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting hardware such as servers, routers, bridges, switches, hubs, modems, network interface cards etc.
  • Excellent knowledge of current protocols and standards, including TCPIP, SFTP, HTTPS.
  • Extensive support experience with SAN, NAS, VDI, and VNA.
  • Knowledge and understanding of system flow charts, data processing concepts and telecommunication principles.
  • Experience installing network cabling and patching telephony systems
  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and business needs
  • On-call availability

 

LICENSE AND REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS

  • Certifications in Microsoft, CISCO, VMware or Citrix preferred
