Responsibilities
Lead a team of electrical and mechanical engineers supporting power protection systems for commercial and industrial applications.
Oversee requisition engineering and life cycle management (LCM) for products and platforms.
Balance responsibilities in design engineering, project management, and team leadership.
Communicate complex technical concepts effectively across engineering and non-engineering stakeholders.
Provide leadership, mentoring, and coaching to team members.
Lead mechanical design deliverables including design, simulation, and documentation.
Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver designs that meet customer requirements, quality standards, and deadlines.
Participate in design reviews, providing expert feedback and making necessary modifications.
Design and release mechanical first-article systems, support prototype fabrication, and lead improvement efforts post-prototype.
Independently lead projects, coordinating all engineering activities to ensure success.
Partner with production, supply chain, and service teams to align product development with business needs.
Basic Qualifications
B.S. in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
5+ years of experience in design and project execution.
Proficiency in CAD modeling (SolidWorks), including thermal/structural evaluation and PLM software.
Knowledge of sheet metal design, detail/assembly drawings, and design for manufacturing.
Strong experience with CFD and structural modeling using simulation tools.
Team leadership/management experience is a strong plus.
