Position Summary:
This full-time leadership role serves as the primary coordinator responsible for overseeing all state and local assessments at the campus, ensuring compliance, smooth execution, and accurate data management. Under the supervision of the Head of School, this role leads assessment planning, implementation, and troubleshooting. Additionally, the role supports the campus 504 coordinators, providing guidance, assistance, and ensuring effective implementation of Section 504 procedures. The position also assists the Head of School with substitute teacher coordination, focusing on ensuring effective substitute coverage and implementation.
Testing Coordinator:
Lead all campus assessment activities, including planning, scheduling, and communication for state and local assessments across in-person and remote learning.
Manage assessment logistics, ensure adherence to policies, and provide support during testing periods.
Serve as the primary contact for district and state assessment offices, troubleshooting issues and coordinating data requests.
Deliver staff training on assessment protocols and accommodations.
Generate and analyze assessment data reports to inform school decisions.
Maintain clear communication with staff, parents, and district officials regarding assessment schedules and requirements.
Lead 504 Coordinator:
Support the campus 504 coordinators by providing guidance, resources, and assistance with implementing and monitoring Section 504 plans.
Help ensure accommodations are properly executed, documented, and reviewed.
Review and approve referrals, evaluations, and 504 plans, supporting ongoing compliance efforts.
Assist in providing staff and administrator training on Section 504 policies and procedures.
Act as a point of contact for questions and guidance related to 504 implementation and documentation.
Substitute Teacher Coordinator:
Assist the Head of School directly with the coordination and implementation of substitute teacher coverage.
Help ensure substitutes are properly scheduled, informed, and supported to maintain effective instruction.
Support substituting efforts during teacher absences by coordinating logistics, communicating expectations, and troubleshooting issues to ensure classroom continuity.
Additional Responsibilities:
Complete other responsibilities as directed by the Head of School or his/her designee.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher; coursework or certification in school administration, assessment, or special education is a plus.
Extensive experience managing state and local assessments.
Proven leadership and support skills, especially in compliance and student accommodations.
Strong organizational, communication, and data analysis skills.
Knowledge of assessment policies and Section 504 procedures.
Ability to handle multiple priorities and work collaboratively.
This role is the primary lead responsible for assessment management, providing support to 504 coordinators, and assisting with substitute teacher implementation, ensuring operational efficiency and adherence to all regulations across the campus.
Additional Requirements:
Must pass background check, which is completed by the Louisiana Bureau of Criminal Investigation (LCBI), which includes fingerprinting and a signed statement authorizing the release of information from the LCBI to the school.
Physical functions: Requires but is not limited to standing, sitting, repetitious hand and body movements, bending, squatting, and reaching. May be required to move or position equipment up to 15 pounds approximately.
