Job Summary:
Inspect, fabricate, install, repair, modify, calibrate, adjust, test, perform preventative maintenance on, and service heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment systems and related mechanical equipment up to 480VAC and 250VDC.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC systems up to 480VAC or 250VDC.
- Dismantle, move, fabricate, redesign (with proper authorization), assemble, and install HVAC systems up to 480VAC or 250VDC (from the load side of the service disconnect).
- Perform predictive and preventative maintenance as well as diagnoses HVAC systems and related equipment and components to determine root cause of failures.
- Check, install, adjust, and calibrate HVAC systems and components.
- Test HVAC systems and equipment using electrical, electronic, and mechanical testing and sensing equipment.
- Perform soldering, brazing, welding, and burning functions for HVAC installations and repairs.
- Layout, plan, and install HVAC equipment and circuits from instructions, prints, diagrams, and electrical codes to conform to specifications.
- Operate material handling equipment, perform limited painting and lubrication, perform housekeeping duties.
- Record, interpret, and react to information on SPC forms, charts, and graphs.
- Select and carry out scheduled work orders based on equipment needs.
- Communicate with internal and external customers and suppliers concerning project or equipment status and technical issues.
- Perform tasks such as: time keeping, writing work orders, ordering supplies and materials, keeping records, logs, and reports.
- Use information systems and processes to obtain information procedures and data in the performance of duties.
- Follow EIS, Lockout Tagout and verification, and SOP's in the performance of duties.
Qualifications
You have:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited HVAC Certification Program
- EPA Certification
- Satisfactorily pass a comprehensive skills test and interview.
- Pass a physical examination, drug screen test and background check.
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
- This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e., ‘Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Exceptional Candidates also have:
- Associate degree in HVAC
- Industrial HVAC Experience
