Join Our Environmental Planning & Approvals Team – Adelaide
We’re expanding into South Australia and looking for a Principal Environmental Assessment & Approvals Consultant to lead the delivery of approvals strategy for major clients across SA and nationally. This is a rare opportunity to take the reins, shape our local presence, and help build a high-performing team from the ground up.
What You’ll Be Doing
Leading environmental impact assessments and regulatory approvals (EP Act, EPBC Act, bilateral processes)
Advising clients on approvals pathways, environmental constraints and risk
Preparing and reviewing reports, referrals, EIS/EMP documentation and submissions
Liaising with state and federal regulators, clients and community stakeholders
Mentoring junior staff and building local capability
Supporting business development and strategic growth in SA
What You’ll Need
Degree in Environmental Science, Planning, or related field
Extensive experience in environmental approvals in SA or interstate
Solid understanding of state and Commonwealth environmental legislation
Strong communication and project leadership skills
A desire to shape and grow something meaningful — not just maintain the status quo
