Chef– Aged Care | Narrabeen

We are currently seeking applications for a Chef to support our Residential Aged Care facility in Narrabeen.
Salary: Offering a salary of $65,000+ penalties evenings, weekends & public holidays
Locations: Narrabeen

About the Role

Lead all aspects of food operations including food safety, preparation and service
Preparation and service of meals ensuring nutritious and wholesome food and variety of food.
Preparation of special diets and modified diets as required including low salt, diabetic, soft and pureed.
Ordering and/or oversight of ordering of food supplies.
Preparation and service of meals for functions.
Maintain efficient cost control with regards to food preparation.
Work in conjunction with the Manager to constantly refine and improve the food service standards.

About You
We are excited to hear from you about this role! We are looking out for:
Your demonstrated compassion and empathy. Our teams have a passion for what they do and the impact they make to our residents and their families.
Your excellent communication skills, both verbal and written to ensure the best possible resident experience and teamwork
Your track record of leadership, ability to coordinate kitchen operations in a busy and fast-paced environment
Your experience in menu planning and catering to modified diets
Your ability to work efficiently and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards
Current knowledge of Food Handling Legislative including HACCP requirements
Certificate 3 or 4 in Commercial Cookery as well as Food Safety Certification

It is a mandatory requirement for a team member working in the Aged Care sector to have a valid Police Check or a valid National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) check, or potentially both, to undertake the inherent requirements of the role.
