Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
Total Base Pay Range: 37.55 - 55.48 - 73.40 USD Hourly
Job Summary
Under the general supervision of the Director of Pediatric Echocardiology, the candidate will join a robust, experienced team of sonographers in performing pediatric echocardiographic exams at Boston and satellite are locations. The echocardiography lab provides opportunities for continued learning, complex case discussions, and participation in specific interests including quality, 3D, fetal echocardiography, etc. We are a team of currently 7 pediatric sonographers looking for a team player to join our program and further our work in caring for congenital heart disease pediatric patients in the area. Some travel to satellite clinics is required.Responsibilities: Relevant activities include, but are not limited to the following:
1. Perform complete echocardiographic examination independently
2. Acquire echocardiographic examination in digital format
3. Understand reasons for individual patient exams, review patient history and review prior report/images
4. Participate in QI initiatives and in measures to support laboratory accreditation
5. Participate in research protocols as needed
6. Help guide administrative support staff when technical/scheduling questions arise
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
1. Comply with patient privacy and safety guidelines (e.g. 2 patient identifiers)
2. Practice Infection Control standards
3. Willingness to use a variety of ultrasound equipment from different vendors
4. Understand overall functioning of the laboratory
5. Develop good time management and organizational skills
Qualifications
EXPERIENCE:
- Current RDCS or RCS required
- Associate’s Degree required
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree
