Commercial Lines Small Business Account Manager
Account Managers are primarily responsible for servicing policies (new and renewal) for commercial customers of Cross Insurance, while creating and maintaining strong relationships with customers, underwriters and other professionals.
Duties of an Account Manager include, but are not limited to:
- Understand the daily business operations and basic exposures of our customers.
- Prepare, monitor and process renewals in accordance with agency procedures
- Follow-up with underwriters for the timely receipt of quotes.
- Respond to requests from underwriters.
- Prepare renewal summaries and proposals as needed.
- Produce binders for clients when policies not received and delivered to insured by effective date
- Facilitate audit disputes.
- Pursue prompt payment of agency bill invoices and request cancellation of policy when payment(s) are not received per Cross guidelines.
- Daily account servicing, assisting clients, requesting changes to policies, checking and processing policy changes
- Verify accuracy of all policy documents processed by companies
- Complete CL Checklist.
- Create new policy issuance instructions, quote instructions and renewal instructions for insurance company. (Bind Order)
- Ability to set priorities and manage workflow to ensure efficient, timely and accurate processing of transactions and other responsibilities
- Facilitate and monitor invoicing, monthly statements, payments and premium finance agreements
- Maintain monthly reports including suspense, unbilled premiums, expiration lists
- Knowledge of industry information, carrier products and property/casualty insurance coverages
- 1 or more years' Experience
- Can provide an Analysis of Coverage
- Maintain a cordial and professional relationship with clients, co-workers, companies, vendors and other business contacts
- Property & Casualty Insurance License
