Overview
We are seeking a motivated student pursuing a degree in Finance or Accounting to join our Global Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team as a full-time intern in a hybrid role located in Providence, Rhode Island. The internship will run from June to August, with the possibility of extending into the fall/spring semester on a part-time basis. This role offers exposure to various functions within the FP&A team, including internal management, reporting and analysis, corporate support, and data management.
Responsibilities
- Utilize Microsoft Excel to compile historical data and forecast results for system delivery projects.
- Prepare and reconcile weekly and monthly financial reporting packages and presentations for senior and executive-level business leaders.
- Participate in the monthly close, forecast, and annual budgeting processes to ensure accurate financial results.
- Learn to identify areas for improvement in metrics and reports.
- Consolidate and analyze business and corporate support segment financials, including revenues, costs, headcount, and capital.
- Assist with continuous process improvement and complete ad-hoc analysis as needed.
Qualifications
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with SAP or other Financial General Ledger software is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and comfort working with large volumes of data.
- Well-organized, with good communication skills and a strong desire to learn.
- Must be able to work 37.5 hours/week during the summer, with the possibility of extension into the fall/spring semester at a minimum of 12 hours/week.
- Currently enrolled in a Finance or Accounting degree program with a minimum GPA of 3.0.

At Brightstar, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting salary range is $43,680-$46,800 . The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.
Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles may be eligible for short-term incentive or other discretionary bonuses. More senior roles maybe eligible for long-term incentive bonuses.
