Hours of Operation: Tuesday – Saturday, 8:30am-5:00pm
The Chatham County Resource Conservation Education Center is hiring part-time Recycling Center Attendants. If you meet the minimum requirements, you may be just the person we need to join our recycling team.
Position Duties
- Assists with the operation and maintenance of the Resource Conservation Education Center.
- Performs various customer service and manual labor tasks in an assigned area of responsibility.
- Uses customer service and interpersonal skills to assist customers and site visitors with unloading recyclable materials.
- Instructs and reviews recycling guidelines with patrons to ensure their compliance and understanding of services and policies.
- Performs minor building maintenance utilizing typical tools and equipment.
- Uses a backpack blower to maintain a clean work environment.
- Maintains all work areas in a clean and orderly condition.
- Secures equipment, tools, and two outside gates at the close of business each day.
- Maintains complete and accurate records of related work activities.
- Supervises or works with volunteers and community service workers assigned to assist at the Recycling Center.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
