About the role:

The Day Crew team is currently seeking an Operator to join them on a 7 Days on, 7 Days off Roster based at Port Hedland Port Facility.You will be reporting to the Day Crew Supervisor and will be responsible for the operation of various mobile equipment, in and around the Port Facility.

 

About you:

You will be a motivated and safety-focused Individual, a key team player that will play a positive role in a high performing, quality team. You will be ideally living residential to enjoy the benefits of a local based, roster role.

 

 

Duties:

  • Operating mobile equipment including loaders, bobcats, excavators and graders.
  • Monitoring equipment for quality or repair and escalating work orders and improvements
  • Assist production teams as required with daily tasks such as housekeeping, hosing and inspections.
  • Inspect equipment for operational faults, rectifying where possible or reporting to the Supervisor Day Crew if the problem is unable to be rectified.
  • Conduct clean-up of ore spillage and general site tidiness
  • Perform minor civil works as required
  • Maintain site roads, drains, culverts, and windrows
  • Support ad hoc project works and assist with other operational tasks as directed.
  • Operate machinery and equipment safely and efficiently
  • Adhere to all site safety and environmental standards

 

Skills and Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience operating a variety of Mobile equipment including Grader Vac Truck and Front-end Loader
  • Current WA HR Driver’s License
  • Nationally accredited in : FE Loader, Bobcat, Forklift, Excavator or Grader
