At Nexi, we’re transforming the German payments market with our Payment-as-a-Service (PaaS) and card issuing solutions. We're challenging how banks, fintechs, and corporates approach digital payments. As a Senior Business Development Manager you’ll help drive that transformation, focusing on Tier 1 banks and large financial institutions across Germany and Europe.
Based near our office in Eschborn, you’ll be part of a strategic and growth-oriented commercial team, bringing deep payments industry expertise to a market that values both innovation and reliability. About Your Future Role
In this position, you will:
- Lead commercial deals from origination to closure across Europe, focusing on Tier 1 banks and large financial institutions
- Build and manage a strong pipeline of complex, high-value opportunities across the digital payments ecosystem
- Engage with senior stakeholders including Heads of Payments, Cards, and Retail Product leaders to identify needs and craft tailored solutions
- Structure complex, cross-border commercial deals, supporting local sales teams while collaborating with internal functions such as Legal, Risk, Marketing, and Product
- Translate emerging payment technologies and trends into business impact, guiding client strategy and adoption
- Act as a trusted advisor, shaping solutions that connect innovation with commercial outcomes
- Drive go-to-market strategy through market feedback and partner engagement
What Makes You a Great Fit
We'd like you to have/be:
- 7+ years of experience in B2B sales in the payments or card issuing space, with a proven focus on Tier 1 banks and financial institutions
- Proven success in winning and managing multimillion-euro deals across European banking networks
- Strong relationships with decision-makers in retail and corporate banking, with the ability to influence complex buying groups
- Deep understanding of card ecosystems, payment infrastructures, regulatory frameworks, and emerging fintech technologies
- Skilled in value-based selling, partner enablement, and strategic go-to-market execution
- Fluent in English; German language skills are a strong plus
- Commercial acumen matched with a multicultural, transformation-oriented mindset
- Located near our office in Eschborn, Frankfurt with willingness to travel across Europe
- Experience at a payments processor, issuing platform, or B2B fintech provider
- Exposure to Cards-as-a-Service (CaaS) and digital wallet/tokenization platforms
- Italian or additional European language proficiency
- Experience working in matrixed, international environment
