The Role

We are seeking a Salesforce DevOps Engineer specializing in the Copado platform to optimize and streamline our Salesforce development and release processes. In this role, you will be a key contributor to our Salesforce programme. You will design, implement, and enhance our continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using Copado, automate deployments, ensure the stability and scalability of our Salesforce environments, and work closely with Salesforce developers, administrators, and other IT teams to champion efficient and governed release management through Copado, all while continuously honing your skills in a supportive learning atmosphere.

What you will do…

  • Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce using the Copado DevOps platform, including the configuration of pipelines, environments, and system integrations, utilizing best practices emphasized in Dojo.

  • Champion and enforce best practices for using Copado for version control, branching strategies, and automated deployments of Salesforce metadata and code, sharing your expertise within Dojo.

  • Manage and administer Salesforce environments (sandboxes, production) within the Copado framework, ensuring data masking and seeding strategies are effectively utilized via Copado capabilities and teaching these techniques in Dojo.

  • Leverage Copado's features for monitoring Salesforce application performance and deployments, configure alerts and dashboards within or integrated with Copado, and share monitoring insights within Dojo for collaborative problem-solving.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve deployment issues, environment problems, and performance bottlenecks specifically related to the Copado pipeline and Salesforce integrations, using Dojo as a space for complex problem analysis and solution development.

  • Utilize and extend Copado's automation capabilities through scripting and integrations to support end-to-end DevOps processes, potentially developing and sharing these automation solutions within Dojo.

  • Collaborate closely with development and QA teams to integrate automated testing frameworks and results within the Copado pipeline for quality gates, fostering a collaborative quality mindset nurtured in Dojo.

  • Define, track, and report on key DevOps metrics using Copado's analytics and reporting features to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of the release process, using these metrics to identify areas for improvement within the Dojo.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Copado releases, features, and best practices, as well as broader Salesforce and DevOps trends, bringing this knowledge back to enrich the Dojo.

  • Implement and ensure adherence to security and compliance standards within the Copado pipeline, emphasizing secure DevOps practices within Dojo.

  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for Copado configurations, pipelines, and release processes, contributing to the knowledge base of Dojo.

  • Provide training and mentorship to team members on effective and efficient usage of the Copado platform, acting as a coach and learner within Dojo.

What you will bring...

  • Proven experience as a Salesforce Developer, Salesforce Administrator, or in a similar role with a strong understanding of the Salesforce platform and its metadata.
  • Significant hands-on experience with the Copado DevOps platform, including setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines.

  • Experience with version control systems, particularly Git, and their integration with Copado.

  • Familiarity with Salesforce DX and the SFDX CLI, and how they can be leveraged within a Copado workflow.

  • Experience with automation scripting (e.g., Shell, Python) for tasks that may complement Copado functionality.

  • Understanding of Agile development methodologies and how Copado supports them.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, particularly in the context of troubleshooting deployment issues within a Copado pipeline.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with the capacity to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders on release processes and within a collaborative learning environment like the Dojo.

  • A strong desire to learn, experiment, and continuously improve in a hands-on setting.

Preferred Experience / Qualifications:

  • Copado Certifications (e.g., Copado Certified Administrator, Copado Certified Developer, Copado Certified Consultant).

  • Experience with advanced Copado features such as Compliance Hub, Robotic Testing, or Value Stream Maps.

  • Experience with integrating Copado with other tools (e.g., Jira, external testing tools, monitoring systems).

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their integration with Salesforce and Copado.

  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools and integrating them with a DevOps process managed by Copado.

  • Understanding of security principles and best practices in a DevOps context, specifically within the Salesforce and Copado ecosystem.
