About the Role:
As a Intern, you will gain practical experience in the logistics and transportation industry, while supporting Carrier Sales in building and maintaining relationships with freight carriers. Further, you will sharpen your knowledge of freight shipment management, negotiate rates, and utilize market data to contribute to successful and timely freight deliveries.
This internship is ideal for current students or recent graduates looking to explore a fast-paced, team-oriented career in logistics, supply chain management, or sales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in sourcing and qualifying freight carriers for daily shipment needs.
- Support the team in gathering and presenting carrier options to Account Managers.
- Develop negotiation tactics to establish fair and competitive rates with carriers.
- Aid carrier sales to track shipments from booking through delivery and contribute to problem-solving when issues arise.
- Assist in onboarding carriers to digital tracking systems (e.g., MacroPoint).
- Shadow and participate in outbound calls to carriers to strengthen communication and sales skills.
- Support documentation and data-entry related to shipments, rates, and carrier communications.
- Collaborate with team members to learn the end-to-end freight movement process.
- Maintain organized records and follow defined processes.

Requirements
Qualifications:
- Current student or recent graduate with a major in a related field (e.g. Business, Sales, Supply Chain, Logistics, etc.)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- A willingness to learn and take initiative.
- Agreeable to outbound calls and work in a dynamic environment.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Excel and other standard business tools.

Pay Transparency:
- This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the salary information represents the job level minimum and the job level maximum. The pay range $17.00 per hour up to $24.00 per hour. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law. These and other criteria allowed by law are in place as the best non-discriminatory predictors of successful job performance. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. The Company offers eligible employees health, visions and dental insurance, and retirement.
