GARNISHMENT AGENT

We are seeking a few full-time Garnishment Agents!  Garnishment Agents are responsible for reviewing file histories, confirming employer information via web searches and calls, requesting garnishments internally for up to 12 states and following-up on garnishments issued. Follow-ups will require calls to courts and employers to determine status of issued garnishments. The Garnishment Agents will be working in a fast-paced environment and must maintain a courteous and professional attitude towards all courts and employers while strictly adhering to policies as well as local, state and federal laws.  

Essential Job Functions:

· Manage a large inventory of accounts that need to be reviewed for garnishment actions 

· Research account histories for prior garnishment actions, code files as necessary for next action, etc. 

· Effectively utilize multiple skip tracing tools to locate the customer’s employer and/or bank information

· Manual outbound calls to employers and courts for garnishment details and/or follow-up on issued garnishments 

· Meet or exceed productivity requirements of reviewing/monitoring of ~200 files per day

· Adhere to quality standards set by the firm and our clients

· Adhere to compliance standards, applicable laws and regulations that govern third-party collections (i.e. FDCPA, UDAAP, etc.)


Requirements

 

Skills/Knowledge/Education:

· High school diploma/GED

· Demonstrated confidence, initiative and negotiation skills

· Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

· Work both independently and as a team in a rapidly evolving environment

· Results-oriented with a demonstrated sense of urgency

· Fundamental financial understanding

· Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new technologies

· Drug Screen

· Criminal Background Check
