Description:


Graduate students at the University of Hawai‘i at Manoa are invited to apply for a graduate research assistantship with health services research projects within the Population Sciences in the Pacific/Cancer Prevention program at the University of Hawaii Cancer Center. The candidates are required to be in good academic standing and demonstrate a strong interest in an area of cancer health care delivery. This GA position requires on-site availability at the University of Hawaii Cancer Center in Kaka’ako for 20 hours/week.
 
Other Conditions: Continuation of the position is subject to satisfactory work performance and availability of funds.
 
Duties & Responsibilities:


  1. Conduct qualitative and quantitative data analysis under supervision.

  2. Conduct literature and resources searches and reviews for manuscripts, technical reports, presentations, etc.

  3. Assist with manuscript preparation and grant writing activities.

  4. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Enrolled in a doctoral program at the University of Hawai‘i at Manoa.

Desired Qualifications:

  1. Excellent writing and editing skills.
  2. Experience conducting research on grant funded projects.
  3. Experience with grant writing. 
  4. Familiarity with Hawaii and Pacific Island context and culture.
  5. Knowledge of standard statistical methods.
  6. Record of publication(s).
