What we are looking for: 

We are looking for an Accounting Manager to join our team. Working as part of the finance team, the Accounting Manager is responsible for providing accounting support to major financial accounting areas, including accounts payable & receivable, general ledger accounting, cost accounting, and account reconciliation. 


 
What you will do:

  • Manage daily accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and subledgers including perpetual inventories
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements) for accuracy and compliance with standards like GAAP or IFRS
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal company policies
  • Oversee reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets
  • Coordinate annual audits with external auditors and provide necessary documentation
  • Review and approve journal entries, invoices, and expense reports
  • Recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
  • Support payment processing by processing accounts payable checks weekly
  • Input credit and debits to the accounting system in support of the payables work
  • Input general ledger entries for account changes
  • Run the financial reports for the BOD meetings with Director of Finance
  • Review AR aging reports and work with Director of Finance for collection decision
  • Perform monthly expense account reconciliations and final approvals 
  • Develop and maintain regular reports via the company’s accounting system
  • Support and comply with all company policies and safety requirements
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights that support business decisions
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What you need to succeed: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred)
  • 2-3 years of experience in accounting or accounts payable
  • Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, or similar) and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to interpret complex financial data and identify trends or areas for improvement
