Temporary Position. 90 days
The Temporary Cleaning & Maintenance Technician (CMT) is responsible for janitorial maintenance, assisting with physical labor that primarily involves hands-on tasks at each NATIVE HEALTH site, clinic, i.e., the building, offices, and clinical spaces. Temporary Cleaning & Maintenance Technician will assist NATIVE HEALTH (NH) with minor janitorial maintenance and repair of facility equipment. The position will require assisting with physical tasks, assembling furniture, and repairing walls and furniture. This position requires a motivated individual with high customer service standards and excellent communication skills. This position must consistently demonstrate cooperative behavior with supervisors, subordinates, colleagues, clients, and the community.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with supervisor on setting priorities involving performing routine cleaning tasks at each facility, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing restrooms, only as needed.
- Supplies: Ensuring dispensers (soap, toilet tissue, paper towels) are restock and operational. Wipe down walls, toilets, sinks, bathroom stalls and doors with disinfectants at least daily.
- Clean glass windows and dust weekly or as needed.
- Clean and wipe walls, doorknobs and doors with disinfectants weekly and as needed. Document activity by signing log sheets as needed.
- Move furniture as needed and ensure that it is properly anchored. Set up tables and chairs for meetings and special events, as needed.
- Maintaining and repairing facilities equipment.
- Address any issues that arise with maintenance equipment in a timely manner.
- Groundskeeper duties include keeping all sidewalks clean and free of debris, empty trash receptacles located on the property, trim shrubs and trees as needed.

- Must possess a High School Diploma or a GED equivalent AND six months of work experience related to the position.
- Flexible days and hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Must possess a valid and unrestricted Arizona driver’s license (within 30 days of hire if applicant is from out-of-state) with no DUI/DWI or reckless driving convictions in the last five years. No more than two at-fault accidents in the last three years. Must maintain a valid Arizona driver’s license during employment. Must be insurable under NATIVE HEALTH’s liability auto policy.
- Must pass a criminal background check and obtain a Class I Fingerprint Clearance Card within the initial ninety (90) calendar days of employment and retain a valid card while employed with NATIVE HEALTH.
- Must pass substance abuse testing upon employment and submit to random testing during employment.
- Must provide an updated immunization (IZ) record at the time of employment.
- Must have a current (within 12 months) Tuberculosis (TB) skin report upon employment and provide an annual update.
- Must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within (90) calendar days of employment and maintain certification during employment.
