Shipping Clerk
Job Summary:
As a Shipping Clerk, the primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of goods through the shipping process. The daily job duties entail mapping trucks accordingly and recording or planning truck runs. This position will set up driver evaluation sheets and hand out orders during their shift. Attention to detail, organization, and effective communication skills are essential in this role.
Essential Functions
- Knowledge of selection and good pallet building skills.
- Ability to map orders within truck routing.
- Assign trailers to runs.
- Filling out evaluation sheets
- Enter seal numbers and loader into Poweryard.
- Print truck runs and put together to hand out to selectors.
- Needs to be able to identify cross stock that may be shipping.
- The ability to communicate changing information within dispatch to teammates, transportation, and supervisors.
- Additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Position Qualifications/Education Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills.
- General Knowledge of NCR computer system.
- General knowledge of power dock.
- Detail Oriented.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least 6 months of warehouse experience required.
Quality/SQF requirements:
(These are requirements of our Safe Quality Foods [SQF] Certification. Specific training and documentation will be provided to each individual during employment):
- Know and follow current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs)
- Know and understand the contents of the Policy Manual and the Food Safety Policy
- Understand the Food Safety and Quality Manual and where to find the same
- Know the annual changes to the SQF system
- Know that policies exist with reference to production-related record keeping
- Understand the evolving food safety legislation and regulations communicated by the QA Manager
- Understand policies/standard operating procedures with respect to personnel practices insofar as control of physical contaminants, cleaning and sanitation, waste management, and act accordingly
- Know that there are standard operating procedures for calibration of equipment, premises and equipment maintenance, and where the procedures may be found
- Know that there is a Food Safety Plan including an HACCP plan and know that there are control Points and know how to apply Control Measures
- Understand our policies regarding product identification and labeling rules, as well as product traceability and act accordingly when necessary
- Know that policies exist regarding Incident Management and Recall and Food Security/Premises Security/Sabotage and participate in establishing the same when appropriate.
