Confluence Water, a Downer, Ventia and Jacobs Joint Venture, is one of three regional consortia delivering design, construction, maintenance and facilities management services for Sydney Water. As the North Delivery team, we stretch from Sydney Harbour to the Hawkesbury River, including the Hills Shire. Confluence Water is Sydney Water's partner responsible for the delivery of an unprecedented pipeline of capital works as part of a 10-year program.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Commercial Contract Administrator at Confluence Water. In this role you will ensure compliance with subcontract and Head Contract obligations, including the management of variations and extensions of time, adherence to processes and procurement procedures, and the provision of commercial support to project teams.

This is a permanent role reporting to Commercial Contract Manager with a hybrid work arrangement (4 days in the office/onsite), and you will be part of a collaborative, close-knit team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Commercial Contract Manager or delegate in managing Work Orders released under the Head Contract and the corresponding subcontracts issued in response.
- Assist Procurement in effectively planning and managing tender packages being issued to market including the assessment of tender responses and execution of subcontracts and work packages.
- Support the Commercial Contract Manager or delegate in maintaining key contract document registers such as Claims, Variations, Rights and Obligations and Contract Deliverables Registers as may be applicable to the project.
- Support the Commercial Contract Manager with contract requirements understanding and Terms & Conditions interpretation to ensure compliance with contractual, statutory and Confluence Water policy obligations.
- Oversee subcontractor activities to ensure timely completion of work within contractual requirements.
- Ensure all elements of subcontract management are delivered within the required timeframes.
- Assess and approve subcontract and Head Contract claims and prepare payment schedules in accordance with the Security of Payments Act.
- Review and advise on subcontract variations and EOT claims, manage related processes and maintain accurate registers.
- Provide contractual guidance to resolve disputes in collaboration with the Commercial Contract Manager, Project Teams and other stakeholders.
- Ensure all subcontract obligations are met, including those related to bank guarantees, insurances and variations.
- Ensure commercial compliance with the Head Contract and subcontract obligations.

- Exceptional organisational skills and ability to interpret and apply contract terms, will support success in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven contract management/administration experience within a commercial organisation.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a dynamic contracting service orientated environment.
- Tertiary qualification in Construction and or Business or related field.
- Previous experience working in the engineering and construction industry as a Contracts Administrator.
- A general understanding of construction works.
