The Role
As a System Administrator at Kyndryl, you’ll solve complex problems and identify potential future issues across the spectrum of platforms and services. You’ll be at the forefront of new technology and modernization, working with some of our biggest clients – which means some of the biggest in the world.
There’s never a typical day as a System Administrator at Kyndryl, because no two projects are alike. You’ll be managing systems data for clients and providing day-to-day solutions and security compliance. You’ll oversee a queue of assignments and work directly with technicians, prioritizing tickets to deliver the best solutions to our clients.

Required Skills & Experience:
• 6–10 years of experience in Windows Server and AD support with at least 3+ years in an L3 capacity.
• Strong expertise in Windows Server (2012/2016/2019/2022) administration and troubleshooting.
• In-depth knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, DFS, and replication.
• Proven experience in SSO (ADFS, Azure AD SSO) troubleshooting and integrations.
• Experience in Azure AD application integrations and hybrid identity management.
• Hands-on experience with performance tuning, capacity management, and availability planning.
• Strong RCA preparation skills and ability to perform repeat incident analysis.
• Proficiency with DR planning, execution, and validation.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes – Incident, Problem, Change, and Continual Service Improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Windows & Infrastructure Management
• Provide L3-level support for Windows Server environments, ensuring maximum availability and reliability.
• Handle escalations from L1 and L2 teams for complex and critical issues.
• Perform system performance tuning and optimization, including OEM-recommended improvements.
• Plan and execute Disaster Recovery (DR) drills in line with DR setup and recovery procedures.
• Maintain availability and capacity plans for Windows and AD environments.
• Drive automation of routine activities to improve efficiency and reduce manual interventions.
• Lead continual service improvement (CSI) initiatives and execution.
Active Directory & Identity Services
• Maintain, reconfigure, and optimize Active Directory services.
• Troubleshoot and resolve Single Sign-On (SSO) issues including ADFS and Azure SSO integrations.
• Manage and support Azure AD application integrations.
• Perform repeat incident/alert analysis to identify root causes and implement preventive measures.
• Prepare and review Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reports for major incidents.
Documentation & Knowledge Management
• Prepare, maintain, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Knowledge Base (KBase) articles.
• Maintain and update infrastructure “As-Is” documentation for current state and configurations.
• Provide technical guidance, training, and mentoring to L1 and L2 teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Microsoft certifications such as MCSE, Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate, Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate.
• Knowledge of automation and scripting (PowerShell, etc.).
• Experience with monitoring tools and enterprise patch management solutions.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure, AWS) and hybrid infrastructure setups.
Soft Skills:
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting abilities.
• Effective communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in critical situations.
• Customer-oriented with focus on proactive service improvement.
