We organise team trivia nights, board game marathons, and other fun events to foster our team spirit 💥About the RoleAs Manager – Taxation You will play a pivotal role in ensuring end-to-end tax compliance for the Meesho group. You will be the primary link between internal stakeholders and external advisors, driving seamless coordination on all tax matters.In this role, you will also design and implement robust processes and systems to streamline tax operations, ensuring speed, accuracy, and efficiency. You will be expected to resolve complex tax issues swiftly, manage multiple priorities within the taxation function, and deliver high-quality tax services that enhance the company’s compliance standards and reputation.

What you will do

Manage end-to-end direct tax compliances at the organizational level, ensuring timely and accurate filings.

Handle income tax notices, assessments, disputes, and litigation, including coordination with tax authorities and consultants.

Drive tax planning and structuring initiatives across group entitiesBuild and implement best practices, processes, and tax positions for existing and new business verticals.

Conduct periodic review of monthly accounts and management reports from a direct tax perspective.

Perform detailed research and analysis on tax positions, closing issues within strict deadlines.

Work closely with internal teams (finance, legal, business units) and external advisors to address direct tax queries and requirements.

Monitor and ensure adherence to systems, processes, and compliance standards across teams.

Support management with tax risk assessments, forecasting, and reporting for decision-making.

What will you need

Chartered Accountant (CA) with 4+ years of relevant experience in direct taxation.

Strong current exposure in Income Tax, including handling notices, assessments, and compliances.

Experience managing compliances across multiple entity registrations.

Proven expertise in data analysis and working with spreadsheets for tax reporting and reconciliations.

Strong ability to interpret tax laws and influence policy-makingPrior experience in e-commerce companies or fast-paced startups will be preferred.

Familiarity with ERP systems
