✨ What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a senior Localisation Lead to own and evolve our localisation efforts across product, marketing, and especially video content as we scale into new markets.
This is a high-impact, hybrid role—ideal for someone passionate about wellness and motivated by the opportunity to create content that feels local and culturally relevant.
You’ll lead a growing localisation function, overseeing everything from app UI and onboarding flows to video-based workout programmes. You’ll partner with teams across product, growth, and content to embed localisation into our workflows, championing an approach that enhances both user experience and business outcomes.
🛠 Key Responsibilities
Own and lead the localisation strategy and execution across the full content spectrum — including product UI, marketing, and video-based content (e.g., workout videos, audio meditations/walks)
Build and refine scalable localisation workflows — including tools, QA processes, content prep, and post-production performance
Guide localisation for video content, including subtitling, dubbing/voiceover, cultural adaptation of scripts, and in-video graphics/text using AI
Collaborate closely with producers, editors, and motion designers to ensure localisation is considered early in video planning and production
Manage a small but growing team of localisers, freelancers, or vendors — mentoring them, reviewing work, and ensuring alignment on tone, brand, and execution
Select and manage localisation platforms and oversee vendor relationships across translation, voiceover, and post-production
Develop and maintain core assets such as tone of voice guides, glossaries, style guides, and localisation toolkits
Use data to measure localisation quality and performance — demonstrating impact on user engagement, retention, and satisfaction across markets
Act as an internal advocate for localisation — educating teams on best practices and encouraging early integration in product and content workflows
🎯 Required Skills
7+ years of localisation or internationalisation experience, ideally within a consumer-facing app, media company, or content-heavy digital product
Deep experience localising video content at scale
Strong leadership skills with experience guiding small teams and collaborating across disciplines (product, design, video, growth)
Familiarity with localisation platforms and workflows (e.g., Lokalise, Phrase, Smartling) and video localisation tools or partners
A user-centric mindset with a sharp editorial eye — you understand the importance of nuance, tone, and cultural sensitivity
Data-literate: comfortable setting KPIs, interpreting metrics, and using insights to improve content effectiveness
Excellent communication and project management skills: highly organised, clear, and collaborative
Fluency in English required; fluency in one or more additional languages is a strong plus
