For our headquarter in Munich we are seeking highly qualified candidates to fill the position of:

Intern Biostatistics (m/f/x) - limited to 5 to 6 months

 

The Position:

The primary responsibilities of the working student will be to:

 

  • Support clinical studies statistical analysis. 
  • Develop novel visualizations approaches to improve presentation of study results.
  • Review relevant literature on statistical methods of interest.
  • Support internal statistical advancement initiatives (SAIs), specifically with a focus on estimand alignment in indirect treatment comparisons (ITCs).
  • Conduct simulation studies to explore methodological research questions.
  • Explore how estimand misalignment influences results and interpretation of indirect treatment comparisons.
  • Internal reporting of conducted analyses and research findings.

 

Additionally, the working student may support the overall statistical activities of the DSS-EG team if and where needed.

Personal Skills and Professional Experience:

  • Bachelor degree in Statistics, Mathematics, or similar.
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited graduate program (Master) in (bio)statistics.
  • Good programming skills in R.
  • Knowledge of principles and standards of clinical studies.
  • Knowledge of time-to-event data analysis.
  • Familiarity with ICH E9 (R1) addendum on estimands and sensitivity analysis.
  • Knowledge of methods for indirect treatment comparisons is a plus.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is a plus.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent English language skills.
  • Ability to work remotely with worldwide team members.
