The Schwarzman Animal Medical Center’s commitment to compassionate veterinary care dates back to 1910 when it was founded as a clinic to help animals whose owners could not afford treatment. We continue this this legacy today as the premier veterinary hospital in the tri-state area, maintaining the only Level 1 Trauma Center in New York City and the highest standards of care as part of our American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) accreditation. With 130+ veterinarians working collaboratively across 20 specialties and services, our team prides itself on delivering world class veterinary care to help keep pet families together.

Available Shifts

  • 2pm - 10pm (Monday - Friday)
  • 12p-8pm (Sat/Sun - Part Time)

Reports to:

Client Services Manager/Facilitator Supervisor

Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for helping clients and their pets safely enter and leave the hospital by directing to correct service location/floor for appointments and emergency visits
  • Responsible for transporting medications from the dispensary to various client waiting areas
  • Ability to transport pets in and out of building to their owners
  • Participate in client advocacy by updating pet status and wait time

Qualifications

  • Must be a motivated self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision in both a team and independently.
  • Must be able to work collaboratively in a fast paced environment with the ability to multi-task while paying close attention to detail
  • Must be able to accommodate scheduled shift work in a hospital that is open 24/7
  • Must be able to communicate professionally and effectively with clients, colleagues, and referring veterinarians

Salary Range: $16.50 – $21.000 per hour

Job Type: Full-time or Part-time (2 openings/shifts available)
