Shift: 10:30pm - 7am, Monday - Friday
The Automation Technician is responsible for the equipment and systems of the plant operations in Armor IIMAK plants in the America's Zone. Working with variable frequency drives, PLC and systems associated with automation equipment.
- Repair and install systems and components on industrial machinery and equipment following codes, manuals, diagrams, and other specifications using hand tools, power tools and testing equipment.
- Completion of mechanical equipment repairs/troubleshooting, including bearings, general machine parts, pneumatic systems, and piping systems.
- Document and complete maintenance work orders in a work order management system listing labor hours, parts used and detailed record of completed tasks.
- Continuous Improvement of PM Programs to maximize equipment uptime and increase productivity.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment in compliance with all organizational policies, procedures and regulations.
Who you are:
- You are hands on and enjoy working on and repairing machinery.
- You are great at troubleshooting and problem solving
- You are a good communicator both verbally and in writing
- You are comfortable working autonomously but also working with a team.
What you have:
- Minimum of 3 years in a maintenance capacity in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Degree in applicable field preferred
- Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical schematics, CAD experience a plus
- Flexiblity to work an altered schedule as needed to accommodate business needs
- Team player and willing to work with minimal supervision
- Excellent problem-solving skills and communication skills
- Ability to travel to other sites as needed for support or training
