Position Overview
We are looking for a skilled Acumatica ERP System Administrator to manage and optimize our cloud-based Acumatica ERP environment. This role will be responsible for overseeing production, test, and development instances of Acumatica, ensuring system integrity, supporting integrations, and enabling efficient business processes across the organization. The administrator will play a key role in supporting Finance, Operations, and other departments through reliable ERP functionality, and seamless integrations.
On-site presence at the GTI headquarters in Rochester, NY is preferred for this role. Hybrid or remote work settings may be available to highly qualified candidates.
Key Responsibilities
System Administration & Environment Management
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of Acumatica’s cloud-based production, test, and development environments.
- Manage system upgrades, hotfixes, and release rollouts in collaboration with Acumatica support.
- Configure and monitor role-based security, workflows, and business logic.
- Ensure system availability, reliability, and adherence to compliance/security requirements.
Integrations & Connected Applications
- Manage and support integrations with:
- Velixo (Excel-based financial reporting and planning).
- Shopify (e-commerce platform).
- EasyPost (shipping and logistics).
- Collaborate with IT and vendors to troubleshoot integration issues and enhance workflows.
- Monitor APIs, middleware, and data pipelines to maintain seamless connectivity.
DevOps & Change Management
- Oversee release management processes, including testing, validation, and deployment of Acumatica updates, customizations, and third-party integrations.
- Refresh test and development environments to align with production data for accurate testing.
- Establish and enforce change control processes to ensure system stability and minimize downtime.
- Automate and document deployment workflows where possible to reduce manual intervention.
- Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to schedule and communicate releases effectively.
- Maintain logs of system changes, patches, and updates for audit and compliance purposes.
User Support & Enablement
- Serve as the tier-2/3 support contact for Acumatica users across departments.
- Administer user accounts, roles, and permissions.
- Partner with business units to understand requirements and implement ERP solutions that improve efficiency.
Reporting & Data Analytics
- Support reporting and analytics initiatives using Power BI, Acumatica native reports, and Velixo.
- Maintain data accuracy, integrity, and validation across ERP and reporting environments.
- Build custom dashboards, KPIs, and financial/operational reporting for leadership teams.
Process Improvement & Projects
- Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize ERP workflows and introduce automation where beneficial.
- Lead ERP-related projects, such as new module deployments or enhancements.
- Stay current with Acumatica’s roadmap and proactively recommend new features.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, Business, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 3+ years of direct experience administering Acumatica ERP (cloud version).
- Experience managing multi-environment ERP landscapes (production, test, dev).
- Familiarity with integrations to Velixo, Shopify, and EasyPost (or similar platforms).
- Strong knowledge of ERP system configuration, APIs, and data flows.
- Proficiency with SQL concepts and reporting/data validation.
- Experience with Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.
Preferred:
- Acumatica ERP Certification(s) (System Administrator, Developer, or Business Consultant).
- Experience in financials, distribution, and/or e-commerce modules.
- Familiarity with SaaS administration, security best practices, and cloud platforms.
- Experience supporting ERP reporting via Velixo or other Excel add-ins.
- Project management skills for ERP initiatives.
