Weiss Asset Management (WAM), a Boston-based investment firm, is seeking a highly intelligent and self-motivated Technical Sourcer to join our People Operations team. This individual will play a key role in identifying and hiring top-tier talent for technical positions during a period of rapid growth. A successful candidate will have strong organization, communication, and critical thinking skills and should thrive in a fast-paced environment.
1-3 years of technical recruiting experience is required, ideally in an agency setting.
Responsibilities:
Support technology hiring across software, IT, and infrastructure roles at different levels of seniority
Partner with hiring managers and recruiters to understand requirements and develop effective sourcing strategies
Identify and engage passive candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, referrals, events, and other creative channels
Stay current on the evolving role of AI in recruiting and its impact on both recruiters and candidates
Experiment with and evaluate new sourcing tools and platforms to expand candidate reach
Monitor tech market trends, competitive intelligence, and best practices to inform recruiting strategies
Track and report sourcing metrics (e.g., response rates, pipeline health, time-to-fill) to drive process improvements
Provide a seamless, high-quality candidate experience throughout the hiring process
Build and manage relationships with external recruiters to supplement direct sourcing efforts
Occasionally support sourcing for non-technical roles as needed
