Stylmark, Inc. is an industry leader in aluminum fabrication and finishing. We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Racker/Unracker I to join our Anodizing team. Position Overview:
The Racker/Unracker I is responsible for properly racking, unracking, and inspecting a wide variety of aluminum parts on and off carriers. This role requires maintaining a steady work pace and meeting Stylmark’s standards for quality and quantity.
***This is a 2nd shift position, M-TH 2:00pm-12:30am***
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and select proper loads for racking based on tags and load information.
- Reference parts catalogs to ensure correct part identification.
- Select and inspect racking equipment; repair or report equipment as needed.
- Load and secure aluminum extrusions onto racks, ensuring no damage and maximum conductivity.
- Inspect parts for defects, clean as needed, and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Safely move carriers and racks within the department, sometimes with assistance.
- Unrack anodized loads, inspect for quality and color, and log results using Excel and ERP systems.
- Complete all required paperwork and documentation accurately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Communicate quality concerns to Leads, Quality Assurance, or Supervisors.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors or leads.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous racking experience is helpful but not required.
- Ability to read and comprehend part numbers, tags, and extrusion specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds; team lift required for heavier items.
- Capable of pushing loaded carriers (up to 300 pounds) with appropriate assistance.
- Ability to stand, walk, twist, bend, lift, and reach throughout a 10+ hour shift.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to be cross-trained and rotated to other workstations as needed.
- Flexible to work overtime and varied schedules as required.
- Basic computer skills; ability to operate manufacturing software systems.
