As we embark on a bold new strategy, we’re looking for a Tendering Manager to lead our front-end operations, build a high-performing team, and shape the future of our commercial success.
This is a pivotal leadership role with broad strategic and operational scope. You’ll be responsible for:
- Lead pricing strategy and commercial terms for UK tenders.
- Negotiate contracts with confidence and precision.
- Recruit, mentor, and manage a growing tendering team.
- Motivate and monitor performance to ensure excellence and accountability.
- Oversee all tendering activities, ensuring alignment with commercial guidelines and company strategy.
- Ensure tenders meet customer requirements while protecting Sulzer’s profit margins and delivery capabilities.
- Allocate resources across engineering, hydraulics, costing, and advanced functions to optimise performance.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and monthly KPI reports.
What You Bring
- We’re seeking a dynamic Tendering Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can seamlessly switch between managing a high volume of quick-turnaround quotes and leading the delivery of complex, high-value bids and tenders.
- Experience in the pump industry or a closely related engineering field.
- Strong people management skills with experience leading technical and commercial teams.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
- Deep understanding of pricing strategies, contract terms, and margin protection.
- Ability to act independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
